Because we can relate to the lifestyle
She wears metallics like nobody's business
She smirks. A lot.
She's not afraid to wear a fringe
She wears jewelery in her hair (this is gonna be huuuge. Mark my words)
She changes outfit every time she wants to say something
She displays her boobies most nonchalantly
She can really make an entrance
She has the best couturiers
She dates hot emperors
I like her necklines
I like the headpieces and the bird-inspired fashion
THE BATHS!!!!!!!!! MAJOR BATH ENVY
She has the best bath toys
Meetings in the bath! My dream.
Her boat decor is absolutely fabulous. PINK SMOKE MACHINE??
Glittery mermaid veils
Her entourage consists solely of women
The boat. Have I mentioned the boat
The infinite number of kaftans
The pastel colours, the deco furniture
The double cuff. Everywhere
She knows how to entertain her guests
She sleeps with a gold coins choker on
I can't get over the boat
She's on her second emperor
She knows how to bathe her guests
She's not afraid of over accesorizing
She's not afraid to look like Prince Valiant
CROWNS! CAPES! There's really no reason not to dress like this woman every day
She's THE Temperley precursor. Temperley meets Marni meets Versace?
Isn't all of this so current right now?
The visuals, art direction, photography, locations, decor, costumes….arresting. I don't care about what's going on in the least- in fact, it was rather dull and boring. Luckily Cleopatra had an outfit change after every word, and it was all a succession of cerulean blue waters and shimmering gold upholstery. I want to bottle these images and look at them every moment of the day, they're magical.
