Oh hello

DSC_9883

There was a video going viral on twitter linking to a "Break the rules: Smokey for daytime" tutorial...I was on my iphone and I have no idea what the origin of that video was, please post it below if you know, it was good.

Anyway, I followed the steps exactly just for the fun of it, and I like it. I'm not a massive advocate of the day smoke to be honest, my mornings are bright and clean and naked, but i could use this for evening just the same.

- Black liner smudged on top lid, brown liner on bottom lid
- Grey eyeshadow on crease and lining the under eye (NARS Paris duo) I don't use this enough
- Black mascara.

tah dah!

No blush or lips. Blush + smokey in the morning...that makes me feel uncomfortable just thinking about it.

The hat is to cover my fringe because it's rainy and windy and all-around unpleasant outside, last thing you want is hair beating against your eyes...it's a little beanie from Spitafields market that I got as a gift. Sweater is from Zara.

Naked nails (Essie Mademoiselle). Been a while! x

  1. This really is a lovely look on you. The Smokey eye is
not heavy and without blush or lipstick it is really pared down.
    Very nice!

  2. Alfie thanks!

    Thank you Gillian

aw thank you Sarah. I never wear a smokey usually..unless I’m working and I have to get into some sort of mental “zone”. Yea, isn’t it! It’s quite simple, I think that’s what it is. I hope somebody posts the link to the video, it was retweeted by the biggest makeup artists, but they’ve tweeted so much afterwards i can’t scroll back enough..

    Thanks Diana!
