Silver fox coat, Citizens jeans, Fiorentini & Baker boots
It was super cold and I wore my new fox today - to the supermarket, my nose is still too runny to go far without a tissue. I really love this coat, the collar is huuge- well, the whole thing is. And it just looks so glamorous and is so snuggly. Vintage of course, a new one of these would cost four or five digits.
Have you noticed how much I'm wearing these boots this year?? Amazing. They are SO comfortable. I can't even remember what footwear I was wearing this time last year. It's very important in London to grab some good winter basics before the cold comes, cause once it does, trust me you're not in the mood. And I think it's coming right about now. There's nothing more miserable than ending up last minute with dull frumpy clothes, it totally ruins a winter. I thought for two years that I could go without layering of sweaters or big coats..but you can't. Just embrace it, and get some pretty ones! I've simplified and understood that with outerwear you can basically go three ways: the long wool coat that requires tons of layering underneath, the Moncler-type snow jacket, or the fur. Choose one, keep calm, carry on..
Hm I could do with some mulled wine right now. Does anybody have any readymade favourites?
And look what fun thing i got in the mail this morning:

How predictable am I, as soon as I was told that I could customise a case. DUH I did. (case from Uncommon. I recommend them, the quality is good. If you're outside the US, shipping is 20$, you've been warned)
On my nails, Essie Lapis of Luxury. Going through a blue spell again.

How on Earth are you so fashionably resourceful? and I do mean Earth. Do you have a group of selected scouts who frolic ’round the globe in search of the next featured pictoral blog for your site?..or do you find your collections in London & Spain alone?…Your blog is consistently amazing and always interesting. Even as a Canadian man ( which statistically ranks me very low in the fashion world ) I’m learning so much by keeping up to date with your postings. Maybe one day, after a little more education from your site, I’ll feel a bit more confident to accept an invite from a girl to go shop for shoes with her because Ill be able offer advice to her on what goes with what……Im a long way off that ability….but ill keep learning…keep posting!
hahaha… silly, thank you! boy for you to stand being here for more than two minutes, you really do must “get it”. well you’re tres stylish, you’ll have to let me know what you think of my outfits. I don’t offer much information i’m afraid, it’s more of a thought process…oh, the fashion world is a myth, those in the fashion world take inspiration from those NOT in the fashion world. The most talented people in fashion are the less judgmental and stuck up of all, isn’t that always the case? in music, film…
see austin? I’ve started dressing like your bears.
Diana takes influence from Canadian bears in the British Columbia region(s) She hibernates in Winter. Our bears find a cave or burrow in the landscape they are comfy with with…sound familiar?… Diana finds a flat in london…she vanishes until Mid March…same thing as a bear.
Also, she is jealous of their fur…so….well look at these pictures..and lastly, she actually WENT to Canada to experience the sights, smells and temperatures that this mammal resides with. She also does not eat bear meat……I have never seen a bear do so either, so in a primal sense, she has bear traits already….no wonder Victoria and I drink.
Its nice to hear that the fashion world takes inspiration from those not just in the fashion world. Inspiration is a creative pulse from a reaction to the senses. Seeing, tasting, smelling, touching and feeling someone or something can trigger it. It can originate anywhere in so many forms.
hahaha!
Correct.
Seriously… Where do you get such amazing fur coats from? Just Portobello and vintage shops? You seem to have an incredibly good eye to spot those wonderful things… Besos!!
