This is a night-time look. It's quite sophisticated, with the eyes and the lips, and if I have to choose my "favourite all time" makeup this is probably it. It's very "me", fast, smudgy and not perfect. In line with this series of posts, these are all products I brought in my suitcase when I first came to London for three months and are therefore my favourite, no-fail, trusty products.

Chanel Misty Soft Eyeshadow Duo: Without a doubt my most used eyeshadows, I usually only use the darker, more matte shade and blend it all around.

YSL waterproof eye pencil in Black: I've only had this one for a few weeks but it is the best I've tried; before this I would use MAC Blacktrack smudged, or sometimes a Guerlain kohl, MAC kohl pencil, Giorgio Armani pencil...

NARS Transiberian lipstick: A staple for years, it is so so beautiful. It's darker than it looks in the pictures but when it starts fading it looks more red and still velvety and pretty. It lasts for ever and if you blot, it won't come off on cups, clothes, people..It gives a really good stain
