You might or might not know, that I am obsessed with cuffs
I've worn a lot of leather cuffs in my lifetime, but my favourite are made of metal, and preferably detailed of some sort.
These are brass, from Portobello and come from New Delhi; you can find them in almost any market. I liked these in particular because they're flat but have all that horizontal carving, and they adjust small enough for my wrist.
My other favourite cuffs are from Lara Bohinc and I wear them at night, partly because they shimmer and so are more "night", partly because you can't fit them in with sleeves of any sort.
NEGATIVES:
I wish I could wear them all the time, but cuffs do have some setbacks! They are the enemy of anything long sleeve, as well as jackets, coats, and of course watches and other bracelets. This limits their wear considerably, in my book. And yes, i absolutely like wearing them together. I make exceptions with Lara Bohinc (too expensive to buy everything x2), but I just really like the two-cuff look.
It reminds me of emperors and warriors and any reference to emperors and warriors thrills me- from weapons, headbands, crowns to royal jewelery. I also find it really amusing (insert me laughing alone) and enjoy playing along the whole Diana the Huntress business. And even though she is portrayed naked with a bow and arrow -bows and arrows are harder to introduce into city life-, I choose to picture her with cuffs.
